Description
When my family moved from the Midwest to New York City, I went toa different classroom. But this time I sat in the back instead of at the teacher’s desk up front. The siren call of Wall Street enticed me to New York University for a master’s degree in business administration, and this is the book that I wish I had in graduate school. I would have read it twice: once at the beginning of the program and again at the end of my study. At the beginning of the MBA program Timing the Market would have given me the background I needed to understand the lectures. It would have provided some terminology, stock market history, and concepts
upon which to build financial theory. It would have provided the bridge I needed from my nonbusiness background.
